Aline Kristin Mohl

        (Dancer, Vocalist, Performer)

Aline was born 1985 in Bruck a. d. Mur and grew up on the Austrian countryside.

After finishing her school and her diploma as a kindergarten teacher with distinction, she moved to Vienna starting her music, dance and voice studies on the Conservatory Private University Vienna and the University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna.

Since autumn 2007 she works as a freelance artist, mainly in Belgium, the Netherlands and Austria, continuing her classical voice training on the University College Gent.

Among other things she has collaborated with sensitivity-theatre-maker Roos van Geffen at the “Huis an de Werf” in Utrecht (NL), creating and performing in the production “WIJ”, toured with the “Figurentheater De Maan”(BE) as a dancer in the colorful children piece “Kijk Eens Wat Ik Kan” and has been researching and performing within the platform “Interfenerncias” (MEX).

Starting her work as a choreographer in June 2008, the artist has since then been invited for festivals and residency projects with her solo works. Her last piece “Take Off”, which was staged with teenagers in Austria, was nominated for the Jungwild 2010 price in Graz (AT).

In summer 2009, she received the Dance Web Scholarship, followed by a scholarship from the festival “Steirischer Herbst” for the autumn academy.

Aline won twice the “Youth Culture Award” of the city Bruck an der Mur.

Since 2009 she works together with music producer & filmmaker Jelle Warendorff. Together they founded the art collective Beat of Wings and the Fleisch & Blut foundation. The debut album from Beat of Wings “To Whom It May Concern” was released in March 2010 and surprises with electrifying beatz combined with intense melodies.

Apart from her artistic work, Aline is also very active in the field of art pedagogic, working with people from every age in reference to dance, voice and body-awareness. Since 2010 she supports actively the foundation “Dance in Schools Austria”, since 2011 she took over a leading position in nationwide foundation for the support of dance in the Austrian educational system.
